  • For writing to be effective it has to be well-organized and clearly convey their points.
  • It is important to be selective about the information included in their writing.

  • How can I determine what I should put in my writing and what I should leave out?
  • What strategies can I use to ensure that the information is conveyed clearly?
  • What makes a text clear, useful, and enjoyable to read?
Students will know…  
  •  How to determine what information is relevant.
  • The difference between analytical and descriptive writing.

Students will be able to…
·        Create a graphic organizer before beginning to write.
·       Write an informative text that conveys an idea in an organized, logical, and analytical way.
